Souss Massa National Park

A true sanctuary for Saharan wildlife, this park is one of the last refuges of the critically endangered Northern Bald Ibis. It is also home to oryx, Dorcas gazelles and a wealth of other migratory birds. Its varied landscapes—ranging from coastal dunes and arid plains to river estuaries—offer a unique setting for birdwatching and scenic hikes.

Arganeraie Biosphere Reserve

Listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Arganeraie is a unique ecosystem found nowhere else on Earth. These argan forests, emblematic of Morocco, shelter exceptional biodiversity. Visitors can discover the traditional production of argan oil—one of the region’s true treasures—within local women’s cooperatives.

Southern Moroccan Oases Biosphere Reserve

Stretching across millions of hectares, this reserve encompasses the city of Tata and protects fragile ecosystems ranging from arid desert to lush oases. It is home to unique biodiversity adapted to these extreme conditions, as well as numerous ksour (fortified villages) that bear witness to an ancestral oasis way of life.
